World Handicap System / GHIN Help

WORLD HANDICAP SYSTEM

Leaderboard Systems will interface with GHIN and the new World Handicap System (WHS).  WHS aims to bring six different handicap systems together into a single set of Rules for Handicapping, enabling golfers of different abilities to play and compete on a fair and equal basis, no matter how or where they play. A single WHS will pave the way to consistency and portability.  LS will calculate the new WHS formulas and automatically post your gross and/or adjusted scores to GHIN.  There are additional factors that will now go into determining your net score; course handicap by hole and weather conditions along with your individual handicap.

5 THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE WHS

There are five main things that you need to know about the WHS – outlined in this handy document.

GHIN is the system used to enter and track your handicap. Click here for detailed instructions on how to use the system.
